"PEOPLE power" prevailed as the future of Cleethorpes Library was secured thanks to passionate campaigners.
A council U-turn means that the closure of the much-loved local amenity and "community hub" will not be considered as an option by councillors at tonight's full council meeting.
The potential to consider it for closure was initially included within a report outlining the council's Budget, Outcomes Framework and Commissioning Plan for the period 2017-18 to 2019-20.

All 42 members of the council will vote on the budget proposals tonight.
