Martin attended a drop-in event in Parliament today which was organised by HEART UK – the UK’s only cholesterol charity.
This event marked the launch of a new policy report that considers the steps needed to support cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention in the UK. The drop-in was an opportunity to speak to expert clinicians and patient organisations working in the CVD space and to hear more about CVD outcomes in an MP’s local area.
CVD is the second biggest killer in England, representing the single most significant area where the NHS can save lives over the next decade. It is also one of the conditions most strongly associated with health inequalities, and has a significant impact on the economy and labour markets.
