Martin Vickers has welcomed the news that unemployment in the Cleethorpes Constituency has fallen to 3.5%. This contrasts with the unemployment rate in the constituency of 4.9% when the Coalition Government came to power in May 2010.
The latest figures show that the number of JSA claimants in the constituency has fallen every month this year.
In welcoming the news, Martin said:
“Yet again unemployment has shown a further welcome reduction - and it is yet more evidence that the improving economy is filtering through locally. It’s still tough but local people are now seeing the benefit of the Government’s determination to see through its economic policies. ”
