Jacobs is a global engineering and professional services company with over 60,000 staff worldwide, and in 2019 they chose to invest in a fantastic new facility here in Cleethorpes. The company delivers end to end construction projects in multiple industries including nuclear, advanced facilities, energy, utilities, and defence.
Since moving into the Barton-upon-Humber facility almost four years ago, Jacobs have invested heavily in the area, with the office and workshop space now employing around 300 staff locally, servicing a number of local Humber clients, as well as national businesses across the UK.
From CNC machining and plastic fusion welding to pressure testing and electrical panel work, the Barton facility carries out vital work for the UK’s defence sector.
