You may have heard that over the next couple of years a new Youth Zone will be built in Grimsby.
Over the conference recess, I was able to visit an example of such a Youth Zone in Croydon, London to get a sense of the facilities that will be available to our young people. The Zone included excellent facilities including: an indoor sports hall, football pitch, music room with recording studio, hair salon, craft room, sensory room, craft room and gym.
This a fantastic range of activities but there is also serious work done within the Zone and so dedicated spaces for career development and supervisory meetings.
A Youth Zone in Grimsby will be a fantastic addition to the local provision ensuring the children have a myriad of activities in one central location where they can relax and play with friends in a safe environment.
