Martin met with Graham Dakin, Steve Taylor and Simon Hayton of the Highways Agency at the Port of Immingham Improvement A160/A180 Public Consultation Event.
The Highways Agency is proposing to provide better access to the Port of Immingham and the surrounding area by improving the A160 between the junction with the A180 at the Brocklesby interchange and the Port.
Improvements to the 5km strategic link road will help to stimulate growth and unlock economic benefits to the area. The objectives of the project are to reduce traffic congestion, improve journey time reliability and improve safety for road users and the local community. It also seeks to meet the needs of future traffic growth resulting from existing and future developments.
The consultation runs from Monday 8th April to Monday 20th May 2013. All responses to this consultation will be considered and will influence where possible, further refinements to the proposals.
