Martin was pleased to visit the Cleethorpes Lifeboat Station and meet the dedicated team of volunteers that crew and support the RNLI Lifeboat.
After his visit Martin said “It was great to meet the team of volunteers who give so much of their own time to serving our local community and taking risks in the process. Because we are located on the Estuary the number of calls on the Lifeboat team are many more than some stations. The lifeboat has launched 61 times so far this year and saved 6 lives since the start of January. We all owe them our thanks and appreciation.”
Whilst at the Station, Simon Boswell presented a cheque for £270 which he had raised while travelling from John O'Groats to Lands End on his motorbike - one of many fundraising efforts carried out by our local community to support the RNLI each year.
